Doorzo currently offers four shipping options through Japan Post: EMS, AIR Packet, Air Mail, and Surface Mail.
The following is an introduction to the delivery options provided by Japan Post, along with relevant notes. Please read through this if you plan to use Japan Post to ship your packages.
Service Overview

| AIR Packet | A rapid shipping choice ideal for packages weighing less than 1.8 kg. |
| Air Mail | Ranks as the second-fastest option after EMS, yet at a lower price, offering excellent value. |
| Surface Mail | Utilizes sea transport — the most cost-effective option, ideal for heavy or non-urgent shipments. |
① Delivery time may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or human factors, as well as local customs and postal processing times. International shipping timelines are subject to actual transportation conditions.
② Delivery to parcel stations, pickup points (Smart Post), lockers, post offices, or PO Boxes is not supported. Please provide your residential address to ensure successful delivery.

Shipping Restrictions
1. Item Quantity Limit
There is no restriction on the quantity of items from the Japanese shipping side. However, please ensure that items comply with the destination country's import regulations and quantity limits.
2. Battery Quantity Limits
① Lithium Batteries — Must be installed inside the device; cannot be shipped separately (e.g., cameras, consoles, phones, tablets, computers).
★ Max. 2 items with built-in lithium batteries per package.
★ Standalone external batteries are not eligible for shipping.
② Dry Batteries A (Rechargeable) — Must be installed inside the device; cannot be shipped separately.
★ Max. 4 items with rechargeable batteries per package.
③ Dry Batteries B (Disposable) — No strict quantity limit; small quantities recommended (e.g. watches, capsule toys).
④ Button Cell Batteries (Disposable) — No strict quantity limit; small quantities recommended (e.g. watches, capsule toys).
*If battery quantities exceed the specified limits, shipments via air methods (EMS, Air Mail, AIR Packet) are at high risk of rejection. Surface Mail is recommended in such cases. Please choose your shipping method carefully and with full awareness of the risks involved.
3. Prohibited Items
Japan Post prohibits the export of the following items, including but not limited to:
- Explosives
- Gases
- Flammable liquids
- Flammable solids, spontaneously combustible substances, and substances that emit flammable gases when in contact with water
- Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides
- Toxic and infectious substances
- Radioactive materials
- Corrosive substances
- Miscellaneous hazardous substances and environmentally hazardous materials
*For more details on prohibited items, please refer to the official Japan Post website and [User Guide – Prohibited Items & International Shipping Return].
4. Package Size & Weight Limits
Common size and weight restrictions for EMS, Air Mail, AIR Packet, and Surface Mail:
| EMS / Air Mail / Surface Mail | AIR Packet | |
|---|---|---|
| Weight Limit | 20kg – 30kg | ~ 1.8kg |
| Size Limit | L + (W+H) × 2 = 300cm | L+W+H = 90cm |
| Max. Length | ~ 150cm | ~ 60cm |
*Specific size and weight regulations may vary by country or region. Please check the official Japan Post website before purchasing.
5. Package Value Limit
According to Japanese customs regulations, an export declaration is required when the total value of goods in a shipment from Japan exceeds JPY 200,000 and is shipped via Japan Post. When the total package value exceeds JPY 200,000, an additional export declaration handling fee will be charged. This fee will be collected together with the international shipping fee.
Fee Structure:
| Fee Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Export declaration fee charged by Japan Post | 2,800 JPY |
| Handling fee charged by Doorzo | 400 JPY + 200 JPY per sub-order |
Example:
If a package contains 10 sub-orders, the export declaration handling fee will be calculated as follows:
(10 × 200 JPY + 400 JPY) + 2,800 JPY = 5,200 JPY
Note:
*The total package value refers to the actual total purchase amount of all items in the package after deducting coupons, service fees, and other non-item charges.
*You can view the detailed charges in the shipping fee breakdown. For more information, please refer to the official Japan Post website.
