Doorzo offers three optional reinforcement services: Bubble Wrap, Air Column Wrap, and Waterproof Film Wrapping.

The following is an introduction to each service, along with fees and relevant notes. Please read through this before selecting a reinforcement service for your package.

Reinforcement with Bubble Wrap

Service Overview

Bubble wrap is used to reinforce the product or the outer shipping box, effectively reducing damage from impacts during international transportation.

Important Reminder
For fragile items like glass and ceramics, this service can offer a certain level of protection. However, due to the inherently fragile nature of such items, compensation from the postal service will not be available in the event of damage.

Bubble wrap inside the box — Basic internal reinforcement

Doorzo will provide extra packaging materials such as bubble wrap, foam cushioning, and filler paper to protect fragile items in your package. This service provides a certain level of protection for items like glass and ceramics, but note that these items are not covered by postal compensation due to their fragile nature.

Bubble wrap inside the box — Strengthening internal reinforcement

Items are individually wrapped with bubble wrap. For orders of 20 or fewer items, each item is separately reinforced. For more than 20 items, each item is wrapped individually. Padding is added to all sides of the package to minimize damage during international shipping. This service is highly recommended for fragile items. This service provides a certain level of protection for items like glass and ceramics, but note that these items are not covered by postal compensation due to their fragile nature.

Air Column Wrap

Service Overview

Air columns are used to reinforce the interior of the shipping box, reducing the likelihood of impact damage during international transportation.

(Please note: Due to the thickness of air columns, using this service may increase the overall package volume.)

Internal Filling Air Column

Air columns are placed along all four sides inside the shipping box, with the item placed in the center. Filling bubbles are inserted in the gaps to minimize movement. We will select a box of the appropriate size based on the item's dimensions to ensure optimal protection.

*This service is only available for shipments sent via Japan Post (EMS, Air, Registered Small Packet, Surface Mail).

Internal Filling Air Column

Waterproof Film Wrapping

Service Overview

This service wraps the outer shipping carton in a transparent, waterproof film to prevent it from becoming damp and losing rigidity due to rain or humidity during international transit, thereby reducing the risk of damage to the goods inside.

Service Fee — JPY 160–280

The fee varies by package volume. The exact price shown at checkout applies.

Please Note

If you are concerned about your package being exposed to moisture during the rainy season or due to changing weather in transit, you may select this service for added moisture protection.
This service protects the outer carton only against water and moisture. It is not a substitute for fragile-item reinforcement; for shock and breakage protection of the goods themselves, please select a service such as air column reinforcement.
Waterproof film wrapping may slightly increase the volume and weight of your package.

Packing Method

The entire outer shipping carton is wrapped in transparent, waterproof film to prevent softening from moisture and reduce the risk of damage to the contents during transit. Because the film comes in limited sizes, packages that qualify for this service but cannot be fully covered by a single layer will receive a second layer of film for double protection.

Restrictions

Available for packages measuring no more than 46 cm × 37 cm × 28 cm and weighing 5 kg or less. Availability is subject to what is displayed when you select your shipping method.
This service cannot be selected if your package exceeds the size or weight limits.
After shipment, the fee will be automatically adjusted based on the actual weight and volume, in accordance with our "refund the difference, no additional charge" policy. If the measured weight or volume after shipment exceeds the limits above, the full service fee will be refunded.

Waterproof Film Wrapping

Special Reminders

1. If no reinforcement service is selected, we will use free-filling materials to fill the gaps between the shipping box and the items to ensure basic protection.

2. Doorzo cannot guarantee that all packages and items will remain completely undamaged or free from loss during transportation. If your item is damaged or lost, you may contact the shipping carrier or submit a customer ticket for assistance in filing a claim.

3. We will do our best to provide protection for fragile and easily damaged items such as glass, ceramics, CD cases, and paper products. However, due to the fragile nature of such items, compensation from the post office or other carriers will not be available. Additionally, damage to product packaging, deformation, crushing, or contamination that does not affect the actual product itself is not covered by compensation.

4. This service does not support opening product packaging to reinforce the item inside (e.g., opening a figure box and reinforcing the figure itself).

5. If the package volume exceeds the current shipping method's limit after reinforcement, the parcel status will change to "In Warehouse." The international shipping fee and reinforcement service fee that have already been paid will be refunded to the original payment account. You will need to select a new shipping method and reinforcement service, and make a new payment.
