JDirectItems Auction (Yahoo! Auctions Japan) is a major Japanese online auction marketplace offering electronics, anime merchandise, clothing, and more. On Doorzo, you can select Buyout to purchase an eligible item immediately or Bid on Auction to participate in the auction.
Doorzo processes bids around the clock. Once you win and complete payment, Doorzo will contact the seller, pay for the item, and arrange shipment to our warehouse.
Ways to Buy
| ① Buyout |
| If the seller has set a Buyout price, you can pay that price to purchase the item immediately without waiting for the auction to end. This option is available only when Buyout appears on the item page. |
| ② Bid on Auction |
| Select Bid on Auction, enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay, and submit your bid. Other buyers may also bid, so placing a bid does not guarantee that you will win. |
Place Bid or Sniper Bid
You can choose Place Bid or Sniper Bid.

| Your bid is placed immediately, and the system bids automatically around the clock. Once placed, a bid cannot be canceled. |
| Sniper Bid |
| Once payment is completed, the system will automatically place your bid 10 minutes before the auction ends. You can cancel your Sniper Bid while more than 30 minutes remain. When 30 minutes or less remain, it can no longer be canceled. |
How Automatic Bidding Works
JDirectItems Auction uses automatic bidding. Enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay, and the system will raise your bid by the minimum bid increment as needed to compete with other bidders.
The system will not bid your maximum amount immediately. It will bid only as much as needed to take the lead, up to your maximum. You can find the minimum bid increment under Bid Increment on the item page. The auction’s start and end times are also shown there.

Payment Methods for Bidding
① Credit Card Preauthorization
When you place a bid, a temporary hold is placed on your card for the bid amount.
If you win, your card will be charged the final winning price, the auction service fee, and any optional service fees you selected.
Example:
You set a maximum bid of JPY 10,000 and win the item for JPY 4,000. You will be charged the winning price of JPY 4,000, plus the applicable auction service fee and any optional service fees. The remaining JPY 6,000 held for your bid will be automatically released.

*If you do not win or another bidder outbids you, the authorization hold will be released. The time it takes for the amount to become available again depends on your card issuer.
② Bidding with Limits
▍About Limit
You must top up your Limit before bidding with this method. A JPY 500 top-up gives you a 5,000 Limit; each unit of Limit allows you to bid JPY 1. You can choose only from the top-up amounts shown on the page.
You can check your Limit or request a refund under [App Home] → [Auction] → [My Balance].
*Limit can be used only to place bids. It cannot be used to pay for an item you win. By purchasing Limit, you agree to its terms of use.
▍Placing a Bid and Limit Holds
When you place a bid, the corresponding amount of Limit is held and shown as Limit in Active Bids. Please make sure you have enough Limit before bidding. If your balance is insufficient, you will need to select Top Up before you can place a bid.
You cannot manually release Limit held for a bid. It will be released if you are outbid, or after you win and pay for the item.
If you win, go to Won Items to check the amount due and payment deadline. If you decide not to purchase the item or fail to pay on time, the Limit held for that winning bid will be forfeited. If you win an auction but fail to pay by the deadline twice, you will lose your eligibility to bid on JDirectItems Auction.
▍Requesting a Limit Refund
Limit that is not on hold is shown as Available Limit. You can select Refund to request a refund. Your available balance must be at least equal to the amount of Limit you wish to refund.
Refunds are calculated at the original top-up rate of 5,000 Limit = JPY 500. If currency conversion applies, the amount you receive may vary with the exchange rate at the time of the refund. Your payment provider may charge a refund fee, which you are responsible for paying.
*You may also keep your Available Limit in your account for future auctions.
Auction Fees and Process

Doorzo charges an auction service fee based on the price of each item:

② Auction Process
1Place a bid
Select Bid on Auction and enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay. You cannot cancel a bid after submitting it, so please review the item details and bid amount first. If you need to specify an option such as a color or size, include it in the order notes.
※ Bundle Request
A Bundle Request lets you ask a seller to ship multiple items you have won from them together in one parcel to Doorzo’s warehouse. When the parcel arrives, we will check in each item under its respective order number. You must submit your Bundle Request when placing your bids. The seller decides whether to accept it, so bundling is not guaranteed.

- Submit your request when you bid. Select “Bundle Request” when placing each bid. You cannot change your request after bidding, and the seller will not arrange bundling unless you select this option.
- Bid and pay around the same time as possible. If you plan to bid on several items from the same seller, try to place your bids close together and pay for the items you win around the same time. This may improve the chances of bundling.
- The seller may decline your request. For example, items stored in different warehouses may not be available for shipment in one parcel. If bundling is not possible, you will need to pay domestic shipping within Japan for each order separately.
- Bundling may cost more. Combining items can increase the parcel’s size or weight, making shipping more expensive than sending them separately. If bundling succeeds, the domestic shipping cost will be split equally among the orders. An increase in shipping cost is not grounds for canceling an order. For example, if orders A and B would each cost JPY 300 to ship separately, but cost JPY 750 to ship together, each order will be charged JPY 375—more than the original JPY 300 per order.

3The item is shipped to Doorzo
| Shipping Uninsured (Default) |
| By default, won items are shipped within Japan using Shipping Uninsured, which does not include a tracking number. This option is usually less expensive, but you are responsible for the risk of loss or damage in transit. |
| Shipping Insured |
| If you prefer a trackable shipping method, select Shipping Insured. The method used still depends on what the seller offers. If the seller only offers untracked shipping, the item may be sent without tracking even if you select Shipping Insured. |
Once the item arrives at Doorzo’s Tokyo warehouse, we will notify you by in-app message and email. You can then arrange international shipping or request package consolidation.
[A winning bid is canceled]
A seller or JDirectItems Auction may cancel a winning bid. If this happens, your Doorzo order will be canceled and any amount you paid for it will be refunded.
Important Note
- Bids cannot be canceled.
Under JDirectItems Auction’s rules, winning purchases generally cannot be canceled or refunded for buyer-related reasons. Please make sure you intend to purchase the item before bidding. If an order is canceled by the seller or for another reason unrelated to the buyer, Doorzo will refund the relevant amount paid. - Check the listing and condition carefully.
Many items are secondhand. Doorzo cannot guarantee their condition or authenticity. When an item arrives at our warehouse, staff will check the parcel for obvious damage during domestic shipping in Japan and contact the seller if they find any. The warehouse does not provide a full item inspection, so missing items, missing parts, or incorrect items may go undetected. Resolution of these issues is not guaranteed. - Check the seller’s shipping information.
Many sellers are individuals, and dispatch times vary. If a seller takes an unusually long time to ship, Doorzo will follow up and ask them for an update. - Contact Customer Support about item options.
If an item comes in different sizes, colors, or designs, please contact Customer Support to specify your choice. - You may win after the auction has ended.
A seller may disqualify the original winner, in which case the next eligible bidder may become the winner. If this happens to you, your order status will change to Won – Payment Pending. Please complete payment within 48 hours, as required by JDirectItems Auction. - Some orders require advance payment of domestic shipping within Japan.
If the shipping cost is significantly higher than the item price, Doorzo Customer Support will contact you by in-app message and ask you to pay the shipping cost in advance. Please pay by the deadline stated in the notice. If you fail to pay on time twice, preventing Doorzo from completing your winning purchases, you will lose your eligibility to bid on JDirectItems Auction.
