This September, Pokémon Centre is once again preparing for a major launch tied to a new chapter in the wider Pokémon universe. On 6 September 2025, stores across Japan will begin selling a dedicated line of merchandise inspired by the Netflix animated series Pokémon Concierge, which resumes streaming with new episodes from 4 September.

Pokémon Concierge and its World

Pokémon Concierge first premiered in December 2023. Produced with a calm, almost therapeutic tone, the series is set on a southern island where a resort has been created specifically for Pokémon. Visitors include a wide variety of species, all arriving for rest and leisure, while human staff provide support.

The central figure of the story is Haru, a young woman who has just taken up a post as a concierge. The narrative follows her personal growth as she learns to care for the Pokémon guests and manage the challenges of her new role. The show has often been described as a healing work, with its measured pace and emphasis on gentle daily interactions.

After a successful debut, Netflix has confirmed additional episodes, with the second batch (episodes five to eight) scheduled for early September. This timing is no coincidence: The new merchandise is designed to coincide with the streaming release, allowing viewers to immediately connect with characters and props from the programme.

◆The Line-up:

Pokémon Centre’s new collection recreates objects and creatures featured in the series. The range is deliberately broad, catering both to collectors seeking display pieces and to casual fans who prefer practical items for everyday use. Below are the key highlights.

◆Moveable Psyduck Plush (4,950 yen)One of the most memorable Pokémon to appear in Pokémon Concierge is Psyduck. Known for its vacant expression and sudden headaches, Psyduck is portrayed with a softer, more endearing side in the series. The new plush is moveable, giving fans the ability to pose the character in different positions. This flexibility makes it a versatile companion for display or play.
