A brand new release is on the horizon. For the first time in the history of the Tomica Limited Vintage series, a customisable die-cast miniature car is making its debut. Tomytec, part of the Takara Tomy Group, has announced that a new 1/64 scale model of the Nissan Skyline 2-Door Sports Coupé 25GT TURBO will be launching in November 2025.
Available in two colour variants, silver and blue, each model is priced at 4,620 yen including tax.
A First for the TLV Series
The 25GT TURBO model introduces customisation features for the very first time, allowing collectors to swap out the front bumper, rear bumper and rear spoiler with ease. All parts are made from durable ABS plastic and can be attached or removed by hand, so there’s no need for any tools. Whether you’re a long-time collector or a newcomer to the series, this feature makes personalising your display as satisfying as ever.
Eight Custom Combinations in One Box
Each model comes with two versions of each part: a standard and an optional variant. With three interchangeable components per model and two choices for each, collectors can create up to eight different visual combinations.
Despite this new level of playability, Tomytec hasn’t compromised on the hallmark quality that defines the Tomica Limited Vintage range. The main body and chassis are still made from high-grade die-cast metal. The tyres use a soft material to mimic the look and feel of the real thing, while the colours are applied using electrostatic painting for a smooth, consistent finish.
Markings and insignias are produced with tampo printing, ensuring every detail is crisp and clear. Even the interiors are faithfully recreated, staying true to the standards collectors have come to expect from the brand.
What’s more is that although the two variants of the 25GT TURBO represent the same car model, they feature different wheel designs.
