BANDAI SPIRITS has announced a new product in its Master Grade (MG) Gunpla line: the MG 1/100 Full Armour ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka. The model will be available for pre-order from 27 August 2025 and is scheduled for release in February 2026. It continues BANDAI’s long tradition of creating high-quality plastic models that combine visual appeal with excellent build quality.
◆A Classic Reimagined for Modern Builders
The Full Armour ZZ Gundam, also known as FAZZ, is a famous mobile suit from the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ series. It was developed as an upgrade to the original MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam, which was powerful but had some design weaknesses due to its complex transformation system.
In the story, the Federation engineers designed a stronger version called the Enhanced ZZ Gundam, which improved durability and energy output. Later, using test data from the prototype FAZZ, they developed the Full Armour ZZ Gundam, a machine designed for heavy combat against Neo Zeon’s large and powerful mobile armours such as the Queen Mansa.
◆Two Forms, One Model
One of the main attractions of this model is its ability to transform between two versions:
Enhanced ZZ Gundam (the lighter, upgraded form), and
Full Armour ZZ Gundam (the heavily armoured form).
This flexibility allows builders to enjoy both designs without needing to buy separate kits. The additional armour pieces can be attached or removed easily. Even when fully equipped, the model keeps a clean and well-proportioned appearance.
A new forearm rotation system has been added so that the armour parts move smoothly with the main frame. This prevents the heavy attachments from blocking movement, allowing for more dynamic poses. Every joint has been carefully engineered for stability and range of motion.

The MG Full Armour ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka includes an impressive selection of weapons and equipment:
Double Beam Rifle ×1 – A high-power weapon that can be held in the hand or attached to the forearm.
Hyper Mega Cannon ×1 – A huge cannon that can be mounted on the backpack instead of the missile pods.
Beam Sabres ×2 – Stored on the backpack and ideal for close combat displays.
Shields ×2 – Attached to the arms for extra protection.
Interchangeable hand parts, water-transfer decals, standard stickers, and lead wires for custom detailing.
◆Engineering and Build Quality
As part of the MG 1/100 scale series, the Full Armour ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka uses advanced moulding and part separation technology. This ensures an enjoyable building process while keeping a high level of internal detail.
Inside the model, the inner frame includes mechanical elements such as joints, cables, and thrusters, giving the builder a sense of how the mobile suit might function if it were real. The structure also distributes weight carefully so that the model can stand and pose securely, even with its heavy armour.
The articulation points in the shoulders, waist, and legs have been redesigned to improve stability and pose range.

The MG 1/100 Full Armour ZZ Gundam Ver.Ka will retail for 12,540 yen (including tax). It will officially launch in February 2026, and pre-orders will begin on 27 August 2025.
