What is SST? Is SST mandatory?
In accordance with relevant Malaysian government regulations, certain imported goods shipped to Malaysia are subject to SST (Sales & Service Tax).
Tax Rate & Eligibility
● Unit price ≤ MYR 500: 10% SST will be applied.
● Calculated based on the invoice item price, converted to MYR using the exchange rate on the shipping date.
● SST applies only to the item price and does not include service fees, domestic shipping in Japan, or international shipping fees.
Collection Method
● Prepaid SST: For items unit-priced ≤ MYR 500, Doorzo will collect SST during the international shipping payment.
● Pay-on-delivery: For items unit-priced > MYR 500, SST cannot be prepaid and will be collected by the local courier upon delivery.
Important Notes
● SST is a Malaysian sales & service tax applied only to the item price. Additional customs duties or clearance fees, if applicable, will be assessed and collected directly by Malaysian Customs upon the parcel's arrival.
● If SST has already been collected by Doorzo but is charged again upon delivery, please submit a Customer Ticket with your proof of payment for verification.
● Final tax amounts are subject to the official assessment of Malaysian Customs.
