In this small booklet, I have combined two things I have written about suffering (available separately on Kindle)—the first dealing with how we should respond when God doesn’t tell us why we are suffering, and the second suggesting a model prayer for depressed Christians. I first shared these simple thoughts as part of a talk on thanklessness. Since they seemed to help many individuals, I have decided to combine them and make them more widely available in the hope that the Lord would be pleased to use them to comfort some of His suffering saints with the reality of His presence. As this booklet goes out, I have asked the “God of all comfort” to use these simple words to help you see Him in your suffering and to experience, in some small measure, that “peace which passes all understanding.”
