Square Enix has now decided to give fans a way to bring that object into their own homes, not as a drink but as a lamp and torch that can be used to brighten your personal space.
◆A Real-World Version of a Digital Icon
Square Enix has announced a new product designed around the Potion item from Final Fantasy VII. The object takes the form of a room lamp, officially named the Final Fantasy VII Room & Torch Light Potion. It is available to order through the Square Enix e-Store at a price of 13,200 yen, with release scheduled for 28 March 2026.
At first glance, the lamp closely resembles the in-game model of the Potion bottle, with a silver cap, a cylindrical middle, and a sturdy base featuring Shinra’s logo. It looks like it could be pulled straight from the game’s inventory screen. Yet this is not just a display piece. Square Enix has ensured it has practical use by combining two modes: it can rest on its stand as a lamp, or it can be lifted to act as a handheld torch.
◆Two Lighting Modes for Everyday Use
Placed in its stand, the Potion lamp emits either blue or white light. The colour can be switched depending on preference, offering two different styles of illumination. In blue, the lamp replicates the look of the healing item as fans remember it on their screens. In white, it serves more like a neutral desk or bedside light. This makes it suitable for use as a night light, a display feature, or simply as a functional lamp in a small room.
Beyond battery power, the lamp can be charged using USB Type-C. It can also be charged by plugging it into a computer, wall sockets with adaptors, as well as portable battery packs.
◆A Torch When You Need It
The designers have added another layer of practicality. When the lamp is removed from its base, the tip lights up as a torch. This feature means it is not just ornamental. It can be carried into darker spaces in the same way as a normal flashlight.

The lamp measures 235 mm in height (including its base) and 100 mm in both width and depth.
The design follows a clean structure: metallic finishes on the cap and base, a clear middle section that lights up, and engraved details that reference the Shinra Corporation from the Final Fantasy world.
The overall impression is one of familiarity to long-time fans. Players who remember collecting Potions in early battles, mixing them with Hi-Potions, or simply stocking up before a boss fight will see something instantly recognisable. Yet the physical lamp also feels grounded enough to avoid looking out of place in a modern room.
