Every autumn, LE LABO introduces a new city fragrance, including the existing ones like Berlin (CEDRAT 37), Paris (Vanille 44), and Tokyo (GAIAC 10). This October, without any prior notice, they unexpectedly launched Kyoto (OSMANTHUS 19). Let’s take a look!
LE LABO City Exclusives Perfume Collection
This year, LE LABO also launched a special selection of 8 city series perfumes in 15ml small jars. The collection includes fragrances from Mexico (CORIANDRE 39), Tokyo (GAIAC 10), Berlin (CEDRAT 37), Paris (VANILLE 44), Amsterdam (MOUSSE DE CHENE 30), Miami (TABAC 28), and Los Angeles (MUSC 25).
LE LABO City Exclusives Series - Tokyo
LE LABO's first Japanese city fragrance is Tokyo (GAIAC 10), which features a dominant note of guaiac wood, complemented by four types of musk and a subtle touch of cedarwood. It is a warm, winter-inspired fragrance that was well-loved by many when it was first launched.
LE LABO City Exclusives New Release - Kyoto
This time, LE LABO surprised everyone with the release of a new city-exclusive fragrance in October, Kyoto (OSMANTHUS 19), the second city scent from Japan. It features the elegant scent of osmanthus (sweet osmanthus) combined with a subtle incense note.
The official fragrance concept released by LE LABO for Kyoto (OSMANTHUS 19) is as follows: "In the early winter, when everything is asleep, gardeners eagerly await the blooming of osmanthus. The scent begins with incense and lavender, and then the main character slowly emerges… a smooth, creamy scent that invigorates the mind, followed by a stable woody note and a resinous base. This layered fragrance is a perfect reflection of Kyoto: ancient townhouses and modern concrete buildings, neon lights coexisting harmoniously, ancient imperial gardens and bustling amusement centers side by side—this perfume mirrors the essence of the city. It is a haiku written for the eternal city, a Kyoto-exclusive scent.
Kyoto (OSMANTHUS 19) is currently available in three sizes: 15ml, 50ml, and 100ml. Originally, it was set to be sold exclusively at two LE LABO stores starting from October 10th.
The highly sought-after LE LABO Kyoto fragrance, OSMANTHUS 19, is available for sale again.
However, due to the immense popularity of Kyoto (OSMANTHUS 19), the initial stock at each store quickly sold out, and even other fragrances were affected. Sales resumed on October 19th, but the demand is still high. Currently, both Kyoto LE LABO stores have a restriction of two bottles per person, regardless of size. For those who love Kyoto, it's a good idea to go early and join the queue!
