Every year, Starbucks Japan brings out seasonal goods that feel imaginative, warm, and full of charm. For autumn 2025, the coffee chain has revealed a brand-new collection called “The Journey of Rabbits Carrying the Crescent Moon”. This range will be released in shops across Japan from 3 September 2025, with early online sales beginning on 1 September at 8pm.


◆New Collection

The inspiration for this collection comes from the idea of rabbits carrying the crescent moon through the sky. In Japanese folklore, rabbits are closely linked with the moon, especially during Tsukimi, when families admire the full moon together. 

Starbucks has taken this gentle and poetic image and turned it into a range of tumblers, mugs, and bottles designed with colours that remind us of moonlight and starlit skies.

◆Cold Cup Tumbler with a Rabbit Figurine

One of the highlights of the collection is a cold cup tumbler decorated with rabbits carrying the crescent moon. The body of the cup is a deep navy blue, like a clear night sky, with prints of cheerful rabbits in motion.

What makes this tumbler stand out is the lid. Inside it sits a small three-dimensional rabbit figurine, which gives the design a special and almost collectible quality. It also comes with a blue straw, making it fun for children while still stylish for adults. The design captures the spirit of autumn nights in a way that is both practical and whimsical.

The Autumn 2025 “Rabbits Carrying the Crescent Moon” collection will go on sale in Starbucks stores across Japan from 3 September 2025. For those who prefer shopping online, the early release will begin on 1 September 2025 at 8pm through the official Starbucks Japan website.
