唐津焼は佐賀県の唐津市で焼かれている陶器です。
唐津焼の起源は、室町時代と推定されますが、慶長の役を契機に、渡来した朝鮮の陶工とともに栄えました。
昔ながらの技法で伝統美を追求しながら、登り窯で松薪を使用して高熱で焼成されています。
使えば使うほどに味わい深くなり、思いがけない面白い景色がつくられていく、というのも永く愛される所以です。
