Set to officially open its doors on Monday, 7 April 2025, the “Chiikawa Yaki Yokohama World Porters” shop will be located on the first floor of Yokohama World Porters shopping centre. Behind the magic is Kuriko Co., Ltd., working in collaboration with Spiral Cute, bringing together top-tier adorable vibes and seriously yummy bites.
What’s Chiikawa Yaki?
Chiikawa Yaki is a brand-new take on the traditional Japanese sweet treat, where soft, fluffy batter is filled to the brim with delicious fillings like red bean, cream, and chocolate—then shaped into the utterly lovable faces of Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi.
Yes, that’s right. You can literally bite into a warm little Chiikawa.
The batter is baked fresh in-store, and the whole process is a treat to watch. With its deep red exterior and relaxed, Japanese-inspired interior, the shop itself gives off cosy café vibes—perfect for grabbing a snack mid-shopping spree or taking a few cute pics for the ’Gram.
