As the Christmas season draws near, an all-new wave of Chiikawa prize goods is set to arrive in game centres across Japan from late November 2025. The prize line-up includes two main items: a set of Gingerbread Man–themed BIG plush toys, and a set of Christmas trees decorated with Chiikawa ornaments.

◆Gingerbread Man BIG Plush Toys: A Simple Seasonal Concept
The first item in the release is the Gingerbread Man BIG plush, available in three varieties: Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi. The trio of plush characters is dressed in charming, Christmas-themed golden gingerbread biscuit costumes, each featuring decorative details that complement the holiday theme and place the character’s face at the centre. Each plush stands at approximately 30 centimetres tall, making it a comfortable size to hold while seated.
The costume designs draw on familiar Christmas elements. The costume includes a smooth, velvety fabric with a slight sheen, giving it a cosy, freshly-baked appearance. Around the neckline, a simple but delightful decoration of holly leaves and bright red berries adds a traditional Christmas flourish. This accent brings a pop of colour that contrasts beautifully with the warm caramel tones of the costume. The character also wears a small red Santa hat, trimmed with white at the base and topped with a fluffy pom-pom. Its expression is gentle and content, with rosy cheeks and a small, joyful smile that enhances the festive charm.

◆Two Christmas Trees Designed for Tabletop Display
Alongside the plush toys, the release also includes two Chiikawa Christmas trees. These items feature small figurines of Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi placed within a compact Christmas tree frame. The trees are approximately 22 centimetres tall, making them suitable for desks, side tables or shelves. They are designed as prize items, but the construction focuses on creating pieces that hold their shape and remain stable when displayed.
The trees come in two colour variations. One uses deeper tones associated with traditional holiday decorations, while the other features pale colours more commonly seen in lighter themed Christmas goods. Both versions include ribbons, small decorative pieces, and a star placed at the top. Beneath the surface details, the structure is simple: a steady base, a shaped tree form, and a set of character ornaments arranged across the front. The design aims to balance visibility of the characters with the structure of the tree itself.
Because Chiikawa’s characters are small and round in nature, they adapt well to ornament-style presentation. The facial expressions and poses remain the same ones that fans recognise from the series, giving the trees a gentle, familiar mood.
◆Availability Across Japanese Game Centres
Both the Gingerbread Man plushes and the Christmas trees will begin appearing in game centres around Japan from late November 2025. As with most prize releases, availability will vary between locations, and certain centres may place the items in machines with different prize difficulty settings.
