On 7 October, KADOKAWA Corporation will be releasing an online kuji to celebrateSword Art Online character Kirito’s birthday. The kuji will feature exclusive prizes, striking new illustrations and a range of fun extras.
This year’s illustrations show Kirito in formal dress, either a black suit or a white tuxedo. This is different from his usual combat outfit, a long coat with his black belt clinging to his body.
◆How the Lottery Works
The Kirito Birthday Online Kuji 2025 is simple. Each play costs 770 yen including tax, and every ticket guarantees a prize. As with most kuji draws, the fun comes from the mix of big-ticket items and smaller collectables. There is something for everyone, whether you are after a statement piece or just a neat little addition to your collection.
◆Here is what is up for grabs:
◆S Prize: BIG Acrylic Figure (2 designs)These are the crown jewels of the lottery. Big, bold and beautifully printed, the figures come in either the black suit or the white tuxedo design. They are ideal as display pieces, especially for fans who like to show off their collections.
◆A Prize: B2 Tapestries (4 designs)At nearly poster size, these wall hangings are perfect for anyone who wants a splash of Kirito on their wall. The four variations give you a mix of poses and expressions.
◆B Prize: Acrylic Figures (4 designs)Slightly smaller than the S Prize figures, these acrylic stands are easier to fit on a desk or shelf but still capture the elegance of the new designs.
◆C Prize: Mini Character Acrylic Figures (5 designs)For those who prefer something a bit cuter, the mini chibi-style figures are playful and full of character. They are bound to be a favourite with fans who enjoy the lighter side of the series.
◆D Prize: BIG Can Badges (9 designs)A kuji classic, these oversized badges come in nine different designs, mixing both standard and mini character artwork. They are easy to collect and fun to wear or display.
◆Extras for Dedicated Players
If you are the sort of fan who cannot stop at one or two plays, the lottery offers some extra rewards.
Ten plays earn you a bromide photo, essentially a high-quality print of the new illustrations. There are three designs in the first half of the campaign and four in the second half, so there is plenty of variety.
Twenty plays get you a mini acrylic figure as a guaranteed bonus. These are only available through repeat play, so they are likely to be highly sought after by collectors.
