This spring, fans of VTuber culture have something special to look forward to. To mark the two-year anniversary of Oriens, a VTuber unit from the popular Nijisanji collective, Animate will be hosting a limited-time celebratory fair across select store locations in Japan. From 7th to 20th April 2025, the “Nijisanji Oriens 2nd Anniversary Fair in Animate” promises a host of exclusive merchandise, charming commemorative items, and even themed drinks and treats.
Oriens is a dynamic unit formed under the umbrella of Nijisanji, one of the most prominent VTuber and virtual livestreaming groups in Japan, boasting around 150 talents. The four members—Itetsu Saeki, Wen Akagi, Rito Usami, and Mana Hiyaba—debuted in 2023 and have since captivated fans with their hero-themed storyline set in the eastern reaches of a fictional island nation. As of March 2025, the group celebrates its second anniversary, a milestone that Animate is recognising with this expansive fair.
Held in partnership with Animate, the fair will take place in numerous stores nationwide, including flagship locations such as Ikebukuro, Akihabara, Shibuya, and Osaka Nipponbashi. Customers spending 2,200 yen (tax included) or more on Nijisanji and NIJISANJI EN-related goods and café items will receive one exclusive coaster per qualifying purchase. These coasters, featuring newly taken images of the Oriens members dressed in stylish formal attire, are available in four variations, randomly distributed.
Exclusive Merchandise on Sale
A diverse selection of limited edition items will be available from 7th April. Among the most anticipated releases are the Voice Acrylic Stands, priced at 3,300 yen each (tax included), with one design per member.
Fans can also look forward to:
• Random Cheki-style Cards: 12 designs, 350 yen per pack (tax included)
• Random Can Badges: 8 designs, 550 yen per pack (tax included)
• Nijinui Plush Toys: 4 types (one per member), 3,500 yen each (tax included)
Gratte Collaboration: A Sweet Treat for Fans
Adding an extra layer of fun to the fair is the return of the Gratte collaboration—a café experience that merges themed visual art with food and drink. Available at select Animate locations, fans can enjoy special lattes topped with printed images of their favourite Oriens members, as well as matching icing cookies.
The Gratte drinks come in eight designs and are priced at 660 yen for eat-in or 648 yen for takeout. The icing cookies, also featuring eight unique images, are available for 605 yen (eat-in) or 594 yen (takeout).
In addition to the core Gratte locations—such as Ikebukuro, Akihabara ANNEX, Shibuya, and Nagoya—a selection of Animate shops will also be offering special cookie sales. Notably, the Umeda store will begin Gratte drink sales from 12th April onwards.
