Thirty years after its original 1995 debut, Neon Genesis Evangelion remains one of the most influential anime ever created, to mark its 30th anniversary, Japan is launching two major celebrations: the “ALL OF EVANGELION 30th Anniversary Exhibition” in Tokyo Museum and the “EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION” festival in Yokohama.
“ALL OF EVANGELION : 30th Anniversary Exhibition” (Roppongi, Tokyo)
Held at Tokyo City View, on the 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, this exhibition runs from November 14, 2025 to January 12, 2026. The venue offers a panoramic view of Tokyo, a fitting metaphor for the vast reach of Evangelion’s legacy.
Inside, visitors can explore three decades of production materials: original animation cels, storyboards, digital assets from the Rebuild films, and rarely seen concept art. A life-sized Evangelion Unit-01 greets guests at the entrance, setting the tone for an immersive walk through Evangelion’s visual and emotional evolution.
The exhibition doesn’t just look backward, it also integrates modern production techniques, showing how Evangelion bridged traditional cel animation and digital filmmaking. Exclusive merchandise, limited collaboration goods, and themed photo zones make this a pilgrimage site for longtime fans.

“EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION” Festival (Yokohama Arena)
If the Roppongi exhibition is Evangelion’s museum, Yokohama Arena is its stage. Scheduled for February 21 – 23, 2026, the Evangelion:30+ Festival transforms the arena into a three-day fan celebration mixing music, art, and performance.
The event features two main zones:
AREA 01 : Exhibition “E.V.A EXTRA 30”, displaying production materials, installations, and interactive experiences.
AREA 02 : Stage Area, equipped with an 18 × 15 meter LED screen hosting concerts, talk sessions, and live performances.
Highlights include appearances by Yoko Takahashi, iconic singer of “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis,” orchestral arrangements, and a Fan Market where artists and brands present Evangelion-themed creations.
The festival positions Evangelion as a living, evolving phenomenon, uniting creators and audiences under the same anthem of existential awe and creative experimentation.
